CpI Security Foil is a high quality solution for foil based packaging that gives perfect protection against counterfeiting. During rolling of the aluminium foil the surface structure is modified in certain pre-defined areas in a sub micron scale in order to prove different grades of reflecting light, appearing visible for instance as characters or logos. Imitation by other converting processes (printing, lacquering) can easily be detected as such.

The laminate bears a desiccant in the blue colored inner sealing side that reacts irreversibly with water. The drying capacity guaranteed is 2.0 or 5.0 g H2O/m2. When a pharmaceutical product is very sensitive to humidity, Formpack® with desiccant helps to extend the shelf life beyond a time that Formpack® without desiccant is able to provide. With this solution the blister is smaller because no additional cavity for a desiccant tablet or a pouch is necessary to contain the blister and a desiccant in a bag. No risk that patients will swallow the desiccant as well.
